CAEBC: Uniting stakeholders to protect & preserve the agricultural lifeblood of California

November 2024 HPAI (H5N1) response

The Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI H5N1) outbreak in livestock in the U.S. is a rapidly evolving situation that threatens the economic welfare of California’s agricultural sector.

California Agriculture Economic Biosecurity Coalition (CAEBC) is a working group of stakeholders — including industry, veterinarians, trade and policy experts, and others — that is convening to stay on top of the outbreak and collaborate on social & scientific solutions for a collective, more robust state-wide response to the virus. The coalition is led by APPA California, the California state chapter of the American Pandemic Prevention Association.

We are united in our interests for the long-term wellbeing of California farmers, businesses, workers, and consumers.
