CAEBC: Uniting stakeholders to protect & preserve the agricultural lifeblood of California
September 2024 HPAI (H5N1) response
The Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI H5N1) outbreak in livestock in the U.S. is a rapidly evolving situation that threatens the economic welfare of California’s agricultural sector.
California Agriculture Economic Biosecurity Coalition (CAEBC) is a working group of stakeholders — including industry, veterinarians, trade and policy experts, and others — that is convening to stay on top of the outbreak and draft a unified set of recommendations to the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) for a collaborative, more robust state response to the virus. We are united in our interests for the long-term wellbeing of California farmers, businesses, workers, and consumers.
